Single airbag replacement
Budget for one unit and fitting. Position, model and access affect the cost; dashboard, headliner, belts and control-module work can add to the total.

Know the likely budget
These are indicative Dubai market budgets, not a fixed workshop tariff. One replacement airbag is a different job from repairing a warning light or restoring several restraints after a crash.
Budget for one unit and fitting. Position, model and access affect the cost; dashboard, headliner, belts and control-module work can add to the total.
Relevant control-unit scan and initial fault assessment. Extended wiring investigation, trim removal and replacement parts are quoted separately.
Quoted for the affected seat and compatible assembly, with removal, fitting and required checks. Activated pretensioners and related wiring or trim work are identified separately.
Airbags, activated belt tensioners, sensors, controller decisions and interior repairs need a vehicle-specific parts list.
Budget guidance is not a complete post-collision repair price. Some applications cost more. The written quote confirms the actual diagnostic charge, supplied and fitted scope, VAT treatment and repair timeline.
Passenger restraint system malfunction
The supplemental restraint system, or SRS, connects airbags, seat-belt pretensioners and their control circuits. A fault message does not identify a failed airbag by itself. We preserve the fault record, inspect the reported circuit and explain whether repair or replacement is justified.
Call 056 464 6081 about your warningAn active or intermittent fault needs investigation. A warning disappearing after restart does not establish that the problem is repaired.
Tell us about recent cleaning, seat removal, water ingress or trim work. The relevant wiring, buckle and occupancy inputs depend on the fitted equipment.
This indicates deactivation and is distinct from an SRS malfunction. If the indication is unexpected, follow the model's handbook and arrange a check before using that seat.
Follow any stop instruction on the display. For deployed restraints, a damaged or non-latching belt, or uncertainty after a collision, call before moving the car and discuss vehicle recovery. Avoid unplugging or probing restraint connectors yourself.
Find the affected circuit
VW-specific scan data guides the inspection. A code naming a sensor, airbag or tensioner is a starting point; the connected wiring and supply conditions still need checking.

We ask when the warning began and whether the vehicle has had a collision, battery event, seat work or previous SRS repair. That history helps separate an old stored event from a fault that is still present.
Buckles, retractors and tensioners
A belt that will not latch, retracts poorly or has damaged webbing needs its own assessment, even when no airbag has deployed. We check the affected seating position and explain the required replacement before ordering parts.

After a collision, have the belts, anchorages, retractors and tensioners assessed together, even if the airbags did not deploy. Do not use a seating position with a damaged or non-latching belt.
After a collision
A deployed airbag is a single-use component. Repairing the surrounding wiring or clearing a warning does not restore an airbag or pretensioner that has fired.

Identify each deployed unit and activated belt tensioner. Driver, passenger, side, curtain and knee airbags differ by vehicle specification; no universal replacement kit fits every VW.
Follow the vehicle-specific replacement and setup requirements. Crash-data clearing alone is not a substitute for repairing the system or replacing components required by the procedure.
Include damaged dashboard, seat, headliner, mountings and related collision work in the assessment. Cosmetic restoration must preserve the correct airbag deployment paths.
Body damage and restraints need a coordinated plan. Our Volkswagen body shop covers the associated panel and paint assessment; restraint components stay on their own itemised parts list.
Choose suitable parts
Matching the model name or the shape of a steering wheel is not enough. The VIN, production specification, part reference and fitted restraint equipment determine the appropriate component.
We identify the required parts and list the proposed supply on your quotation. For airbags and pyrotechnic tensioners, correct specification and traceability matter more than a low headline price.
Genuine or OEM descriptions do not make unlike parts interchangeable. Any alternative must satisfy the vehicle's actual requirements.
Before collection
Check the fitted belt’s routing, latching, release and retraction, plus the relevant buckle inputs and fault status. Electronic checks complement the physical checks; neither turns a damaged belt into a serviceable one.
Diagnosis · Approval · Verification
We explain the detected fault, proposed components and work. Parts and labour are approved before the repair starts.
Required replacement, coding or basic settings depend on the vehicle and component. A blanket “module reset” is not the repair plan.
Check communication, relevant fault status and the expected warning-lamp sequence. We explain the work and any remaining concern at collection.
Airbags are not deliberately deployed during routine verification. Electronic checks do not reproduce a crash or certify future crash performance.
Check recall eligibility first
An applicable manufacturer recall is separate from an independent workshop repair. Volkswagen's Dubai Takata recall service checks eligibility by VIN and directs affected owners to the Volkswagen Partner for the covered replacement.
A clear dashboard does not establish recall status. Use the official check even if there is no warning light, and follow any campaign-specific instructions.

Clear answers about warnings, replacement and the quotation.
No. The fault may concern wiring, a belt tensioner, seat input, sensor, clock spring or control unit. SRS diagnosis and the applicable checks establish what needs repair; the message alone does not justify replacing an airbag.
The indicative Dubai budget is AED 1,500–5,000 per airbag, with model, position and fitting access affecting the price. It is not a complete collision-repair total. Our written quotation identifies parts, labour, related work and VAT before approval.
Clearing a fault is only appropriate after its cause has been assessed and the required work completed. An active fault may return immediately. A reset does not restore a deployed airbag or fired pretensioner.
No. The OFF indicator reports passenger-airbag deactivation. Its expected behaviour depends on the fitted system and circumstances. Follow the vehicle handbook; an unexpected indication or an additional restraint warning needs qualified investigation.
A deployed airbag must be replaced, not repacked. Activated pyrotechnic belt tensioners also require the appropriate replacement. The Volkswagen repair procedure determines the other components and checks required after the event.
The cause must be assessed. Twisted or trapped webbing and a damaged retractor are different problems. Damaged seat belts, retractors or tensioners require the appropriate replacement; an activated pyrotechnic tensioner cannot be restored by clearing a fault. The quote identifies the part for the affected seat.
A warning investigation and a multi-airbag collision repair have different timelines. Fault access, replacement-part availability, required setup and related interior work determine completion. We provide the expected timing with the repair quotation rather than promising every job the same day.
Send the model, year and exact warning for an initial enquiry. The installed restraint equipment and diagnostic access are checked for your particular vehicle. VIN details may be needed to identify compatible replacement parts, especially for imports or previous collision repairs.
Your model, year and a description or photo of the warning are enough to start. Mention any accident, deployment, water ingress or recent seat work. Call before moving a collision-damaged car so its condition and recovery needs can be discussed.
