Ignition-coil work
AED800–1,200Planning guide, rather than a fixed per-coil or full-set package. Your engine-specific quote defines the coil quantity, supplied parts and fitting.
Petrol VW shaking, hesitating or misfiring? Our independent workshop in Al Quoz 4, Dubai, diagnoses the ignition fault, checks the related spark plugs and quotes the required coil work before repair.

Coil count, engine access and the selected part change the total. A single pencil coil and a complete ignition-coil set are different quotations.
Planning guide, rather than a fixed per-coil or full-set package. Your engine-specific quote defines the coil quantity, supplied parts and fitting.
We quote the compatible replacement and access required for the affected cylinder.
Single coil · quoted after diagnosisWe itemise additional units and any justified spark-plug, connector or leak repair.
Combined work · separate parts and labourDescribe when the fault occurs. Similar symptoms can come from a spark plug, injector, intake leak or mechanical problem.
A P0301 code means cylinder 1 misfire was detected. It does not, by itself, prove that cylinder’s ignition coil has failed.
Review fault history, freeze-frame information and relevant live misfire counts. Hot, cold and load-related faults need the matching conditions.
Inspect the housing, connector, plug well and plug condition. Look for cracks, tracking, corrosion, contamination or an incorrect plug.
Use the correct wiring information and suitable electrical tests. A missing supply or damaged connector can imitate a failed coil.
Use appropriate coil-output or controlled comparison tests. Investigate injector, air-leak or compression findings when ignition tests do not explain the misfire.
Coil-on-plug systems allow individual units to be assessed. Neither a cylinder code nor vehicle age automatically justifies changing every coil.
A single compatible unit can be the appropriate repair when the remaining coils and related checks are satisfactory.
Several failed or damaged units, an applicable part revision or the vehicle procedure may justify a larger replacement. The quote explains why.
Worn plugs, damaged wiring or oil in a plug well require their own remedy. New coils alone may leave the fault or repeat-failure cause in place.

The coil produces the high voltage; the plug creates the spark. A worn plug or damaged boot can strain the coil or let the spark escape along the wrong path.
A coil fault does not automatically mean every plug needs replacement. Check specification, condition, service history and the engine’s maintenance schedule.
Damaged, worn, incorrect or due plugs can be quoted alongside coil work. Our spark-plug replacement service covers that separate maintenance job.
Use the correct engine application, part number and compatible revision.
Check plug condition and use the specified plug and fitting procedure.
Protect connectors and fully seat the coil and boot without damage.
Review running data and recheck the original complaint after repair.
Heat, vibration, plug condition and contamination can affect ignition components. Addressing the underlying defect matters as much as replacing the failed unit.
Golf, GTI, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, Touareg and other models use different petrol engines across their generations. VIN and engine details establish the correct application.
Many petrol engines use an individual coil over each spark plug. Other designs use a shared pack and ignition leads. Access and replacement quantity differ.
OEM means original-equipment manufacturer. Compare the named supplier, correct specification, compatible revision and applicable cover. Connector shape or a red casing alone does not establish suitability.
Fault reproduction, engine access, related repairs and parts supply determine the completion plan. A persistent misfire needs more than clearing a warning light.
Review symptoms, codes and ignition findings. Explain the required parts, quantity and related work.
Written quote before repairComplete the approved work, protect plug wells and connections, and follow the engine-specific procedure.
Compatible parts and fittingRecheck relevant fault data, idle and the original operating condition when safe. Explain any remaining findings.
Invoice and follow-up advice
Volkswagen-specific diagnostic software, genuine/OEM parts choices and a written quote before approved work starts.
Know whether the findings support a coil, plug, wiring repair or further diagnosis.
The quotation names the part choice, quantity and associated fitting work.
Workshop open Monday–Saturday, 9 am–7 pm. Share your vehicle details and when the fault occurs.
The indicative coil-work guide is AED 800–1,200. It is a job-dependent planning range, not a fixed price per coil or for every full set. Your engine-specific quotation identifies coil quantity, part choice, fitting and any related work, together with the assessment charge, VAT treatment and applicable cover.
No. P0300 indicates random or multiple-cylinder misfire; P0301 identifies detected misfire on cylinder 1. Spark plugs, fuel delivery, air leaks and mechanical condition can produce similar faults. We use the history, relevant readings and appropriate tests to establish the cause before proposing a coil.
One confirmed faulty coil may be replaced when the remaining system checks are satisfactory and the correct compatible part is available. Several failed units or an applicable vehicle procedure can change that decision. The quotation states the quantity and explains why further coils are proposed.
Only when the findings or maintenance schedule justify it. Plug wear, damage, incorrect specification or an overdue service can make replacement appropriate. Recent serviceable plugs may remain. We assess the plug, boot and coil together and separate plug maintenance from the confirmed coil repair in the quote.
A flashing warning with shaking or loss of power needs prompt attention. Stop safely and arrange advice or suitable recovery rather than continuing to drive under load. Continued misfiring can harm the catalytic converter. A steady light also requires diagnosis; follow the vehicle handbook and do not assume a coil is the cause.
Yes. Contamination can damage insulation and interfere with the ignition circuit. The source must be identified as well as the affected coil, boot or plug. A cover-seal leak, water entry or damaged connector is a separate repair decision. Simply fitting another coil may leave the repeat-failure cause unresolved.
An ordinary compatible coil replacement generally does not need individual injector-style coding. The engine procedure determines any required setup or follow-up checks. Diagnosis, correct fitting and running verification still matter; clearing a stored fault on its own does not prove the repair has worked.
Suitability depends on the exact application and supplier specification. A genuine VW part and a correctly matched reputable OEM option can be compared in the quotation. Colour or an advertised performance label does not prove compatibility or an improvement. Tell us about any engine tuning or previous non-standard parts.
A confirmed accessible coil fault is a different job from intermittent diagnosis, wiring repair or oil-leak work. Parts supply and the required checks affect completion. Your quotation sets the completion plan and applicable parts/workmanship terms; no single turnaround or cover duration applies to every vehicle and type of repair.
There is no single coil-replacement interval for every Volkswagen. Follow the engine’s service schedule for spark plugs and investigate running faults rather than replacing coils solely at a general mileage. This service concerns petrol spark ignition. Diesel glow-plug or diesel engine-management faults need a different assessment.
Send model, year, petrol engine and symptoms. Include any fault report so we can explain the assessment and quote the required work.
