Set the right expectation

What can detailing improve?

Choose the work that matches the condition. Cleaning, paint correction and physical repairs solve different problems.

Interior care

Sand and cabin dirt

Vacuuming, crevice cleaning and compatible surface care lift accumulated dirt. Clear loose belongings so the agreed areas are accessible.

Exterior care

Swirls, haze and deposits

Decontamination and assessed polishing can improve suitable light marks. The paint’s condition determines how far correction should go.

Separate repair

Deep damage or worn materials

Chips, deep cuts, dents, peeling clear coat, torn seats and dye loss need repair. For bodywork, see our Volkswagen body shop.

Cabin detailing

Clean the material, preserve the finish

We inspect the cabin and discuss stains, wear and odours before selecting the cleaning method. A Golf fabric seat and a Touareg leather seat need different care.

Fabric, carpets and mats
Vacuum loose sand first, then use appropriate local cleaning, shampoo or extraction where suitable. The quote identifies the treatment and drying needs.
Leather and synthetic trim
Use a compatible cleaner and suitable finishing care. Perforations, stitching, existing wear and any previous recolouring affect the method.
Alcantara and delicate areas
Use the correct material-specific approach. Alcantara should not receive direct steam. Headlining and delicate trim need controlled moisture and gentle handling.
Screens, controls and glass
Use surface-appropriate cleaning around infotainment screens, gloss trim, switches, vents and glass. A general interior cleaner is not automatically suitable for every screen coating.
Trim and touchpoints
Use a finish-appropriate cleaner on door panels, the dashboard, console, handles and cup holders. Wood veneers and coated trim need their own care; agree any polishing separately.
Soft detailing brush cleaning a dashboard air vent
Existing interior-care reference; equipment and trim vary by vehicle.

Prepare before polishing

Exterior detailing starts with the surface, its finish and any existing coating or film. We agree how much correction is appropriate before machine work.

  1. 01

    Wash and assess

Remove loose dirt and inspect paint, glass, wheels and trim. Note chips, deep scratches, previous repairs and sensitive finishes before selecting treatment.

  2. 02

    Remove surface contamination

Use suitable treatment for bonded deposits such as tar or iron fallout where needed. Clay treatment is condition-dependent; it is not a reason to abrade every vehicle.

  3. 03

    Correct only suitable defects

Agree the polishing stages for the paint condition. A test area helps judge the result. Defects beyond a safe correction should remain or be priced as scratch repair.

  4. 04

    Finish and inspect

Apply the agreed wax, sealant or other specified protection, then check residue, trim and glass. Explain remaining marks and the relevant aftercare.

Matte paint, a wrap, PPF or an existing coating?

Tell us before booking. Matte and satin finishes should not receive ordinary gloss polishing, and an existing protective layer changes the product and treatment choices.

Choose protection separately

Cleaning, polishing and protection are different steps. Know which finish is included rather than assuming that every detail includes a coating.

Wax or sealant

A finishing layer selected for the surface after cleaning and any agreed polishing. Durability depends on the product, preparation, use and aftercare.

Paint-protection coatings

A separately specified treatment with its own preparation, curing and maintenance instructions. See Volkswagen paint-protection coatings for the service, finish suitability and quotation details.

Coating and film are different

Paint-protection film is a physical layer over selected panels. The workshop offers coatings only; PPF installation is not part of the detailing or coating service.

No finishing product makes paint immune to damage. Detailing does not repair stone chips, replace lost paint or guarantee that every stain or scratch will disappear.

Our Al Quoz 4 workshop serves Volkswagen hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs, MPVs and ID models. Size, upholstery, condition and existing protection matter more than the badge alone.

  2. Approve the written quote

Review included areas, stain work, polishing stages, protection, exclusions, total price and the collection plan.

Car detailing questions

Compare costs, realistic results, material care and collection.

How much does Volkswagen detailing cost in Dubai?

Published Dubai comparison prices start around AED 300 for a saloon exterior detail, AED 500 for an interior detail and AED 800 for combined work; comparable SUV starts are AED 350, AED 600 and AED 900. These are market guides, not our fixed tariff. Your written quote identifies the cleaning, polishing, protection, extra treatments and VAT before you approve.

Is detailing different from a car wash?

A wash removes routine surface dirt. Detailing gives more attention to embedded cabin dirt, crevices, material care and the condition of exterior surfaces. Machine polishing, specialist stain work or protection must be identified in the selected service. A package called full detailing does not automatically include paint correction, ceramic coating or body repair.

Can polishing remove all scratches and water spots?

No. Suitable light clear-coat marks and haze may improve with controlled polishing. Deep cuts, missing paint, clear-coat failure and some etching need a different repair. We assess the finish before recommending correction and discuss marks that should remain rather than removing too much material to chase them.

Can you clean leather, fabric and Alcantara interiors?

The method follows the material and condition. Fabric and carpets can need local treatment or suitable shampoo/extraction; leather and synthetic trim need compatible cleaners. Alcantara, where fitted, requires its own care method and should not receive direct steam. Existing wear, tears or dye loss are different from removable dirt and are discussed before cleaning.

Will detailing remove smoke, pet or musty smells?

Cleaning can address dirt and residue that hold an odour, but a lasting result depends on its source. Tell us about spills, smoke, pets or wet carpets. Water entry or an air-conditioning problem may need investigation separately. We do not promise that fragrance, a quick wipe or one treatment will permanently remove every smell.

How long does detailing take, and when can I collect the car?

Collection depends on vehicle size, condition, the agreed work and drying or product-curing time. A cabin refresh is different from heavy stain treatment or several polishing stages. We agree the completion plan after assessment. Do not plan around a same-day collection until the workshop has confirmed it.

Are ceramic coating, PPF and engine-bay cleaning included?

They are separate items unless the written quote expressly includes them. Wax or sealant finishing is different from a ceramic coating, and paint-protection film is a separate physical layer. Engine-bay cleaning is cosmetic work assessed separately around sensitive components; it is not an engine repair or a performance upgrade.

How should I maintain the finish after detailing?

Follow the care instructions for the cleaner, wax, sealant, coating or film actually used. Remove dust with an appropriate wash rather than dry rubbing it across the paint, and use clean, suitable cloths. Respect any stated curing period. Choose future polishing from the condition of the paint, rather than automatically polishing at every visit.
