Indicative guide prices, not fixed offers. Confirm the exact part, labour, testing, tax treatment and any exclusions in the written quote. Extra work needs your approval. High voltage pack, charger and other unpriced work is quoted after inspection.
| What happens | What to tell us | Assessment focus |
|---|---|---|
| Fails at one charging point | Station message, socket type and whether another compatible point works. | Equipment, session settings, cable and vehicle records. |
| AC fails but DC works | Charger details and exact error message. | AC path, onboard charger and supply compatibility. |
| DC fails but AC works | Connector, any adapter and repeated station errors. | DC communication, equipment compatibility and charging records. |
| Car will not enter ready mode | Warning message, charge level and parking history. | 12V supply, stored faults and high voltage system status. |
These patterns guide testing, they do not identify a failed part by themselves. Stop using damaged, hot or discoloured charging equipment and arrange professional assessment.

Choose the checks for the actual warning or concern. Confirm available diagnostic data first, and distinguish a check from battery, charger or brake repair.
Agreed scan, accessible battery data, 12V supply and condition checks on the fitted systems.
From AED 350Available battery data and relevant fault records; scope confirmed first.
From AED 450A low-voltage supply fault can prevent ready mode, even with charge in the main battery.
From AED 600Will not charge, slow charging, port lock and adapter issues.
From AED 350Cabin refrigerant service is separate from a battery-cooling repair.
AC service from AED 300Front disc brakes and rear brake hardware checked separately. Identify the axle before ordering parts.
Front discs and pads from AED 900Knocks and wear on a heavy electric car.
From AED 450Pressures, tread wear, damage and alignment checked as indicated.
From AED 200Fault assessment and supported procedures confirmed for the actual car.
Quote after access checksFresh air filter for dust and sand.
From AED 150Glass and driver assistance camera calibration.
Quoted by partAgreed condition checks and accessible battery data before purchase.
From AED 450Market, model year and fitted equipment identify the ID.3. Imported cars and the 2026 ID.3 Neo need their own parts and software checks; send the VIN and charging-socket details before quoting.
Not sure which version you have? Send a photo of the registration card, the VIN or the charging socket and we confirm before quoting.
These symptoms help decide which tests are relevant. Heat, use, charging equipment and vehicle faults can all affect operation, so the symptom is not treated as proof of a failed part.
Screens stay dark after the car has been parked for a few days, or it will not go into ready mode.
The 12V battery, connections and DC-to-DC supply need testing. Stored vehicle faults help distinguish another restriction from a low-voltage problem.
Charging stops early at home, or a public charger will not start a session.
Socket pins, the cable or an adapter on imported cars, plus charge limits set in the software. We assess available charging records and fault data.
Range falls noticeably on hot days and the cabin takes longer to cool.
AC load and battery cooling working hard together. We check refrigerant, the coolant loop and the cooling fan.
Noise when you brake gently in traffic, worse after the car has stood for a while.
Corrosion on brake surfaces that regenerative braking rarely cleans. We clean, adjust or replace parts as needed.
The centre screen freezes, reboots or loses settings, sometimes in Chinese on imported cars.
Fault data, electrical supply and supported software procedures need checking. An independent scan does not provide every factory update or language conversion.
A knock or rattle from the front over bumps and rough roads.
Worn links, bushes or loose underbody trim on a low hatchback. We inspect on the lift.
The ID.3 has two batteries that do very different jobs. Here is what each needs on a car that mostly drives in the city.

The underfloor traction battery powers the drive motor. Assessment starts with the symptoms, relevant faults and accessible readings. A software health estimate and a measured usable-capacity test are different assessments; ask which can be supplied for your version.

The small 12V battery wakes the ID.3 up and powers its control modules. A low-voltage supply or charging fault can leave it discharged, and when it is weak the car may not switch on at all.
Follow the service information for your ID.3 and its original market. A pre-summer condition check in Dubai is an optional workshop recommendation, separate from scheduled maintenance.
Agreed diagnostic scan, available battery data, 12V battery test, brakes, tyres, coolant levels, cabin filter and wiper blades.
Brake fluid by time, AC performance check and a clean of the front discs and calipers, plus the rear drum brakes.
Tyre and alignment checks, suspension inspection and supported software work when applicable. Rotation depends on the fitted tyre sizes and vehicle guidance.
Intervals vary by version and original market. Use the car's service information and history. Follow its own charging guidance rather than treating one charge percentage as suitable for every version.

Send the year, version and message. For charging, say which equipment and connector were used and whether AC or DC is affected.
Distinguish the 12V supply, charging path and traction-battery concerns. Confirm diagnostic coverage and the cost of any further tests before parts are proposed.
Agree compatible parts, supply and the expected timeline. Check the repaired function and explain the report, invoice and any remaining manufacturer-support limits.
Straight answers before you book your ID.3 in.
The guide lists AED 350 to 600 for an EV health check. A high voltage battery assessment is listed at AED 450 to 900, while a fitted 12V battery is AED 600 to 1,100. These are separate scopes rather than one package. Confirm what your written quote includes before authorising investigation or replacement.
A weak 12V battery is one possibility, but it is not the only cause. Stored faults, the DC-to-DC charging supply and high voltage system status may need assessment. Tell us the exact warning, charge level and parking history. A main battery replacement should not be recommended solely because the car will not wake up.
AC and DC charging use different paths and communication, so this pattern helps direct diagnosis. Equipment compatibility, the station, connector, settings or a vehicle fault may be involved. Send the error message and charger details, including any adapter. The pattern alone does not establish a failed charging port or justify replacing the onboard charger.
Support depends on the actual vehicle, diagnostic access and compatible parts. Volkswagen introduced the ID.3 Neo in 2026 with revised hardware and software, so older procedures should not be assumed to apply. Send the VIN, year, warning and socket photo. Imported cars also need separate charging and software checks before the available work is agreed.
The established ID.3 design discussed here uses front discs and rear drums, so the front disc-and-pad guide does not describe a rear-axle job. Identify the actual brake hardware before ordering parts, especially on a newer or imported version. Regenerative braking does not remove the need to investigate noise, pulling or poor braking.
Follow the maintenance information applicable to the vehicle and its market. A workshop condition check before Dubai summer can be useful without being a universal manufacturer annual service requirement. Service history, warning messages and fitted equipment guide the work. Time-dependent items and optional checks should be listed separately so you can see what is due.
No. AC use, temperature, driving speed, tyre condition and recent consumption affect the range estimate. A sustained change should be compared under similar conditions and assessed using available diagnostic data. A state-of-health figure, where accessible, also needs context. Displayed kilometres alone do not establish usable battery capacity or the need for pack replacement.
Manufacturer campaigns and some software procedures require the appropriate authorised provider and vehicle eligibility. Check the VIN and original market with that provider before arranging paid work. We can explain the available assessment and its limits, but an independent service visit is not a promise of recall completion, warranty approval or unrestricted factory software access.

Send the year, version, mileage and what you need. We reply with a clear plan and price before you drive over.
