A coating is an applied surface treatment. Paint correction improves suitable defects before coating; refinishing replaces damaged paint. They are different jobs.

On suitable gloss paint, preparation and coating can improve the finished appearance. Applying a coating does not remove existing swirls or fill missing paint.
Understand the limit
Care still matters
Coated paint can still scratch, collect mineral water spots or suffer stone chips. Remove contamination promptly instead of treating protection as immunity.
Looking for paint-protection film? This workshop offers coatings only, not PPF installation. A liquid coating does not provide the physical impact barrier of a film.

Prepare before protecting
New paint is not automatically ready for coating. Used paint does not automatically need aggressive polishing. We assess the surface and agree the appropriate preparation.
Wash and inspect
Identify contamination, previous repairs, existing products and visible defects before selecting the work.
Clean the surface
Use preparation appropriate to the finish to address bonded contamination and residues before coating.
Agree safe correction
Polish suitable gloss paint only as needed. Clear-coat condition and remaining defects determine what is sensible.
Deep cuts, chips, peeling clear coat or damaged colour need a repair assessment. Our Volkswagen body shop covers repair and refinishing; a coating cannot replace missing paint.
Gloss, matte or a previous repair
Match your paint finish
Tell us about repainted panels, factory or aftermarket matte paint, wraps, film and existing coatings. Compatibility takes priority over a generic product label.
Choose the correction level
Agree whether cleaning alone, light refinement or more involved correction is appropriate. Do not remove sound clear coat solely to chase every mark.
Preserve the intended texture
A matte finish needs compatible care. Ordinary gloss polishing can alter its appearance; any suitable protective treatment must preserve the specified finish.
Respect the paint-system cure
A panel ready for collection may not be ready for polishing or coating. Follow the actual refinishing system’s instructions before adding protection.
Identify what is already there
Tell us when the previous coating or sealant was applied and what care it received. Removal, compatibility and correction are assessed before a new application.
Paint coatings are not automatically suitable for glass, wheels, textured plastic or interior trim. Those surfaces require their own compatible products and a separately defined scope.

Care after coating
The selected product’s instructions come first. There is no single safe washing or curing deadline for every coating and paint system.
During initial curing
Follow the stated limits for moisture, contamination and washing. Contact us if the fresh surface is exposed unexpectedly.
At routine washes
Loosen and rinse dirt before contact washing. Use compatible products and clean, suitable wash and drying materials.
When the behaviour changes
Water spots, residue or reduced beading need assessment. They do not automatically mean the coating has disappeared.
Avoid dry rubbing dusty paint, abrasive washing and unapproved polishing. Cleaning and compatible maintenance may be appropriate before a fresh coating is considered. Keep the product and work record for future care.

How much does Volkswagen paint protection coating cost in Dubai?
Published Dubai comparisons show ceramic application at AED 800 for a sedan and AED 1,000 for an SUV, while a one-step polish with a quartz layer is advertised at AED 1,999 and AED 2,200 respectively. These are market examples, not our tariff. Your VW quotation identifies preparation, product, areas, tax treatment and the agreed work.
Do you install paint-protection film or PPF?
No. This service is for applied paint-protection coatings only. PPF is a separate physical film and is not installed through this offer. A ceramic or other liquid coating must not be mistaken for a film intended to absorb stone impacts.
Will a coating remove scratches or stone chips?
No. A coating protects the prepared surface; it does not restore missing paint. Suitable light defects in gloss clear coat may improve through separately agreed correction. Deep cuts, chips and failed paint need a repair assessment. Coated paint can still scratch or chip.
Does a new Volkswagen need polishing before coating?
Not automatically. Inspect transport marks, contamination, previous products and the finish first. Some new cars need only suitable cleaning and preparation; others benefit from controlled refinement. The work should follow the actual condition rather than an automatic heavy-correction package.
Can matte or freshly repainted panels be coated?
The surface and product must be compatible. Matte or satin finishes need care that preserves their texture, and ordinary gloss polishing can change their appearance. Repainted panels must reach the paint system’s appropriate cure before additional treatment. We assess suitability before promising an application.
How long does the visit take, and when can I wash the car?
Preparation, correction, product instructions and curing conditions determine the visit and collection plan. The time before the first wash can differ from the time before driving away. Follow the written instructions for the selected coating; a universal same-day or seven-day rule would not suit every system.
How long will the coating last, and is there a warranty?
Durability and any cover depend on the named product, preparation, use and maintenance conditions. The quotation and work record identify the applicable terms. A “lifetime”, layer-count or hardness claim alone is not enough to establish what is supplied or guaranteed.
Can a coated car still get water spots or need washing?
Yes. Repellency does not prevent every mineral deposit or contaminant from marking the surface. Regular compatible washing and prompt attention to contamination still matter. Reduced beading can have several causes, including surface contamination; assess the finish before assuming it needs a replacement coating.
Are glass, wheels, trim or interior coatings included?
Only when expressly listed. These surfaces can need different products, access and preparation from painted body panels. The written scope identifies covered areas and additional work. Interior cleaning and ordinary exterior detailing are separate services unless combined in the agreed quotation.
