Indicative guide prices, not fixed offers. Confirm the exact part, labour, testing, tax treatment and any exclusions in the written quote. Extra work needs your approval. High voltage pack, charger and other unpriced work is quoted after inspection.
Start with the car, charging equipment and available diagnostic access. A replacement charger or battery part should not be ordered just because a warning mentions charging.
| Before a parts order | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| VIN and model year | Identifies the actual e-Lavida application rather than a petrol Lavida part. |
| Charging socket and equipment photo | Shows the connector and any adapter in use. A physically fitting adapter does not establish compatibility. |
| AC, DC or both affected | Helps separate external equipment, the onboard charger and other vehicle faults. |
| Fault report and available battery data | Shows what has been measured, what is inferred and what still needs testing. |
| Parts and software support | Compatibility, supply time and available programming must be checked before approval. |
High voltage pack work and market-specific software are assessed case by case. We will explain when the required parts or access cannot be confirmed locally.
The e-Lavida is a fully electric version of the Lavida sedan, built for the Chinese market by SAIC Volkswagen. On imported cars, the service history, equipment and available parts need checking individually.

An electric car has fewer moving parts, but the battery, cooling and electronics need regular checks, especially in UAE heat.
Agreed fault scan, accessible battery data, fitted cooling equipment, brakes, tyres and suspension. Confirm which readings can be supplied.
Available battery readings and fault records, with access limits explained. Displayed range and an accessible health estimate are not the same as a measured usable-capacity test.
Identify the thermal-management design and assess the relevant temperature and fault data. Do not assume a battery coolant circuit is fitted.
Electric compressor checks, refrigerant service with its specified oil, and cabin filter.
Tested and replaced when it fails to wake the car or causes random warnings. See our battery guide.
Charge port, cable, lock and on-board charger faults diagnosed.
Pads, discs and fluid. Regenerative braking means discs can corrode from light use.
Inspect pressures, tread wear, damage and alignment as indicated. Rotation depends on the fitted tyre sizes and vehicle guidance.
Knocks, bushes, shocks and electric power steering faults.
Warning lights read and explained, with honest advice on what can be fixed locally.
Fluid check and noise diagnosis on the single-speed drive unit.
Battery and fault report before you buy a used e-Lavida.
Charging, low-voltage and range concerns can have several causes. Here is what we check first.
Fewer kilometres per charge, especially with the AC working hard.
We check: battery state of health, cell balance and the fitted thermal-management system.Dead screens, no ready light or random warnings, often from a weak 12V battery.
We check: 12V battery health and the DC to DC converter charging it.Charging starts then stops, or the car does not recognise the cable.
We check: the port, pins and lock, the cable and adaptor, and on-board charger faults.Follow the displayed instruction. Stop safely for a red drive warning or a message telling you to stop, and call before continuing.
We check: stored temperature warnings and the actual thermal-management equipment fitted.Warm air or the AC cutting out.
We check: refrigerant pressures and the electric compressor.Rusty or uneven discs on a car that relies on regenerative braking.
We check: disc and pad condition, and caliper slides.Use the charging and storage guidance for the actual battery and vehicle. Heat, recent energy use and charging conditions affect range, but do not establish pack damage by themselves.

Follow the maintenance information for your imported e-Lavida and its history. An optional pre-summer AC and condition check in Dubai is separate from scheduled maintenance. Battery thermal-management equipment must be identified before any fluid or pump work is recommended.
Fault scan, battery health report, 12V battery test, brakes, tyres, suspension, and cabin filter.
Brake fluid, AC performance and refrigerant check, and charge port inspection.
Fitted cooling systems, drive-unit fluid requirements and the 12V battery condition, following the actual component specification.
Intervals depend on the car's history and use. We check what has been done before recommending work.
This China-market EV needs application-specific checks. We focus on what we can check and repair properly, and we are upfront about what needs specialist parts.
Content updated October 2026. Ask the workshop team to confirm the assessment and quote for your vehicle.
Send the year, exact warning and socket photo. Say whether AC, DC or both fail and identify any adapter or recent 12V work.
Check available diagnostic access and the relevant system before ordering imported parts. The quote distinguishes accessible readings, further testing and the proposed repair.
Agree parts compatibility, supply and the expected timeline. After the repair, check the agreed function and explain remaining support limits and the invoice.
Straight answers before you book your EV in.

No. The fully electric e-Lavida has no combustion engine, so it does not need engine oil, spark plugs or a petrol timing-belt service. Its inspection concerns the electrical supply, charging equipment, brakes, tyres and other fitted systems. Any drive-unit fluid work must follow the actual component specification rather than a petrol Lavida schedule.
The published guide lists AED 300 to 600 for an EV health check and AED 200 to 400 for a diagnostic scan. These are different scopes and should not be added together automatically. Ask which assessment your concern needs and whether further investigation is extra before approving the written quote.
The first step is to identify the vehicle, charging socket, equipment and exact error. Tell us whether AC charging, DC charging or both are affected, and send a photo of any adapter. Diagnostic coverage and market-specific parts are checked before promising a repair. A charging failure does not by itself prove the main battery has failed.
A weak 12V supply is one possible cause, even when the traction battery has charge. Wiring, control-system faults or a high voltage restriction can also prevent ready mode. We test the low-voltage battery and charging supply, then interpret stored faults. Avoid buying either battery solely from the symptom of a dark or inactive dashboard.
No. Available fault records and battery readings must be interpreted with their test limits. A health estimate is not automatically a measured capacity test, and a charging fault can be elsewhere in the car or equipment. Pack work depends on the confirmed fault, supported procedures and compatible parts. Agree any further testing before approving an imported component.
No. Displayed range is an estimate influenced by driving, temperature, AC use and recent energy consumption. A lasting change needs comparison under similar conditions and appropriate diagnostic tests. Available battery data should be explained with its limits. A dashboard range figure alone is not a measured capacity test or a reason to replace the pack.
Follow the warning displayed by the car. Stop safely if it tells you to stop or shows a red electric-drive fault, and call before continuing. Stop using damaged or unusually hot charging equipment. Keep clear of high-voltage components and describe the exact message when safe, so an appropriate assessment or recovery can be discussed.
No. Diagnostic access, official software availability and recall support can depend on the original market and the vehicle. Ask the supplying dealer or authorised provider to check the VIN for applicable campaigns. We explain the limits of the assessment and proposed work rather than promising language conversions, universal software updates or guaranteed local warranty coverage.
Send the year, mileage and what you need. We will reply with a clear plan and price.
