Petrol port injection
1.6 petrol / MPI · four injectors
AED 1,400–2,600Fitted guide for a four-injector set.
Rough idle, a misfire on one cylinder, a smell of fuel or black smoke from a diesel Caddy? An injector is one possible cause. Our independent Al Quoz 4 workshop checks ignition on petrol engines, fuel supply, wiring and relevant injector tests before quoting cleaning, resealing or replacement. Calibration codes are entered where the fitted system requires them.
Four MPI/port injectors from AED 1,400 fitted. One 2.0 TDI injector from AED 1,200 fitted. Indicative parts-and-fitting budgets. TSI direct-injector sets differ; required coding is included in the agreed job.

These fitted guides cover different jobs. A misfire or smoke does not prove injector failure, and a full set is only recommended when the test results justify it.
Compare the injector type and quantity before comparing prices. These are indicative parts-and-fitting guides, with required setup in the agreed work. Other engines are quoted separately.

When testing confirms a seal leak
AED 400–900The quote confirms how many injectors are covered.
Indicative fitted guides, not fixed tariffs. The quote states injector quantity, new/remanufactured condition and supplier, seals, fitting, required coding/testing and VAT treatment. Diagnosis, bench testing, cleaning, difficult extraction, seat damage or contamination repairs are separate unless included. A seal-only quote identifies the number of injectors covered; do not add it again when already included.
A sticking, leaking or electrically faulty injector can cause running problems. Ignition, fuel supply and engine faults can cause similar symptoms, so testing comes first.
The van shakes at traffic lights or runs unevenly, sometimes smoothing out as revs rise.
A stored misfire code identifies a symptom. It does not establish that the injector needs replacing.
Higher consumption on the same route, or black smoke under acceleration on a 2.0 TDI, needs investigation.
Many misfires are ignition coils or spark plugs, not injectors. On petrol Caddys, ignition, mixture and cylinder-condition checks help separate the causes. Injector removal or swapping is done only when appropriate; high-pressure systems need the specified tools and sealing procedure. See our Volkswagen fuel injector guide.
Your engine determines the injector, test procedure and any required coding. Older TDI unit injectors pump fuel at each cylinder; common-rail systems feed injectors from a shared high-pressure rail.

Not sure which injectors you need? Year and fuel type start the enquiry. Engine code, VIN and part revision confirm compatibility before ordering. Document photos are optional.
Ask about my CaddyWe establish whether the problem needs cleaning, resealing or replacement before recommending parts. Mileage alone is not a reason to replace all four injectors.
Scan fault codes and review cylinder misfire or balance data as applicable to the engine. Check the complaint against the findings.
Check supply or rail pressure, wiring and injector operation using the appropriate procedures. Correction values alone are not proof. Return-flow or bench tests are agreed where applicable.
Explain which injectors or seals failed. Fit the correct parts, required new seals and fixings. Difficult extraction, damaged seats or extra components are quoted before additional work.
Enter calibration data or perform adaptation where required. Check for leakage and review running data, then use a safe test drive to assess the original complaint.

Misfire, poor starting, smoke or uneven running are clues. Wiring, fuel pressure, ignition on petrol engines and mechanical condition can produce similar symptoms. Scan data must be assessed with appropriate leak, electrical, return-flow or bench tests; software alone does not prove a failed injector.
Fitted guides are AED 1,400–2,600 for four MPI/port injectors, AED 2,400–4,200 for four TSI direct injectors, or AED 1,200–2,200 for one 2.0 TDI injector. The quote confirms new or remanufactured condition, seals and required coding; initial diagnosis and extra repairs are separate unless included.
Not automatically. Replace a confirmed failed unit or reseal a sound injector where appropriate. A full set may be justified by test results, contamination or comparable wear, but age or mileage alone does not prove the other injectors need replacement.
Many common-rail TDI injectors have calibration data that must be assigned to the correct cylinder during replacement. The exact engine and injector determine the coding/adaptation procedure. Do not apply that requirement unchanged to older unit-injector systems.
Some petrol injectors with deposits can be cleaned and flow tested if the design supports it. A leaking seal may be repaired separately from the injector. Mechanical leakage, electrical failure or a failed flow test needs a repair/replacement assessment; cleaning is not a universal cure.
Straightforward petrol work may take two to three hours and diesel work two to four hours after diagnosis and parts confirmation. Seized injectors, seat work, bench testing or contamination can extend the visit. Timing is agreed for the actual job.
Stop safely and switch off for visible leakage, a strong fuel smell, severe shaking, heavy smoke, diesel knock or a flashing engine warning. Arrange assistance rather than repeated starts. A suspected injector leak or temporary improvement is not permission to drive.
Tell us the year, engine if known and what you notice. We explain the next checks and the relevant price guide; inspection and testing confirm the cause before repair.
