What wears out a Scirocco rear shock
On the Scirocco the rear spring and the rear shock are separate parts, so a worn shock can be replaced on its own while the spring is checked. We inspect the damper, its protective parts and mountings to identify what actually needs replacement.

Should rear shocks be replaced in pairs?
Yes. Replacing both rear shocks keeps the damping equal on each side, so the car stays stable under braking and in corners. Replacing one side only can make the Scirocco pull or feel uneven.
How do I know if my Scirocco has DCC?
Cars with DCC have a button or a menu setting for Comfort, Normal and Sport chassis modes. We also confirm it from the VIN and the suspension codes before ordering parts.
How long do Scirocco rear shocks last in the UAE?
There is no universal replacement mileage. We assess damping, leakage, damage, tyres and related suspension parts. Use, impacts, corrosion and modifications can affect condition; mileage alone does not decide replacement.
Can I drive with a leaking rear shock?
Do not assume a short journey is safe. Arrange assessment before further driving for significant leakage or poor control. With severe bouncing, instability, a loose mounting or tyre contact, stop safely and ask about recovery. Light misting needs assessment and is not automatically a failed damper.
Do you check the rest of the rear suspension?
Yes. We check the springs, top mounts, bump stops, bushes and wheel bearings while the shocks are out, and we only quote extra parts if they are worn.
Is wheel alignment included with the rear shocks?
The alignment guide is separate from the damper price. We assess tyre wear, handling and the work performed, then explain any required measurement or correction. A damper replacement is not the same job as adjusting rear toe or camber.
